OPSSU members are cordially invited to the June GMM/Bargaining Team Elections taking place virtually on June 6 and 7, 2026 from 9 am to 5 pm EST.
Bargaining Team Elections will be held on June 6.
Constitution and Policy amendments are required to be submitted by 11:59 pm on May 7, 2026.
- Constitution amendments must be submitted to constitution@opssu.ca.
- Policy amendments must be submitted to secretary@opssu.ca (please copy constitution@opssu.ca).
Preregistration steps
In order to run a fully virtual meeting in accordance with our constitution, and to ensure the integrity of the meeting, it is necessary for us to follow a number of pre-registration steps.
1. Complete registration form
Pre-register for the GMM by completing and submitting this form OPSSU June 2026 GMM and Bargaining Team Election Pre-Registration – Fill out form by May 29, 2026.
*Please note that we have made the phone number field in the form mandatory. Your number will only be shared with the necessary Executive members and will never be distributed to others. Please contact your steward or the executive if you have any questions. Please do not use work phone numbers.
2. Watch for two confirmation emails
On or before June 4, you will receive two emails:
- GMM Zoom link – This link is for you only and cannot be used by other members, so please do not forward it.
- Test ballot from Simply Voting – Please cast your test ballot as soon as possible, even if you have done so for previous meetings.
If you submitted the registration form and do not receive your test ballot or Zoom link, by June 5, please email events@opssu.ca
3. Join the meeting early
On June 6 and 7, please join the GMM Zoom link between 8:15 am and 8:45 am EST.
Joining early allows us to ensure all participants are properly registered and admitted to the meeting on time and prevents a delay in admitting you to the meeting. Once you are admitted, feel free to mute yourself and turn your camera off until the meeting begins at 9:00am.
